COMPARATIVE METHODOLOGY OF STUDYING THE BIBLE

By: Albert Gran

PROPHECY TRUTH IN TIME PAST

Luke 1:70
As he spake by the mouth of his holy prophets, which have been since the world began:

Acts 3:21
Whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things, which God hath SPOKEN BY THE MOUTH OF ALL HIS HOLY PROPHETS SINCE THE WORLD BEGAN.

It appears through simple discovery from the Holy Scriptures that the entire account of prophecy truth has significant relationship to the earthly purpose of God spoken by the mouth of His holy  prophets since the world began. He chose a special group of people, the nation Israel as light bearers and witnesses to the Gentiles simply under the economy of law until the restitution of all things  which is the establishment of the earthly kingdom.

MYSTERY TRUTH IN THIS PRESENT TIME

Romans 16:25
Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to MY GOSPEL, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, WHICH WAS KEPT SECRET SINCE THE WORLD BEGAN,

Ephesians 3:5
Which in OTHER AGES (Time Past) WAS NOT MADE KNOWN UNTO THE SON S OF MEN, as it is NOW revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit; This apostles and prophets are not the OT prophets and NT apostles. They are the gifts of the church after Christ ascended up on high when the Bible was not yet complete).......Ephesians 4:11-14

11And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;

12For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:

13Till we all come in the unity of THE FAITH (body of truth or set of teachings for this age of grace), and of the KNOWLEDGE OF THE SON OF GOD( Available in the complete Scripture), unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:

Clearly and more reasonable fact for Bereans to be thoughtful in accepting the true essence of Paul's "my gospel" as an establishment for believers in this present economy of grace to fill the position of God's heavenly plan and purpose of which Jesus Christ is in you (both Jew and Gentiles) the hope of glory

To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:

THIS TIME THE BIBLE IN ITS ENTIRETY WAS ALREADY COMPLETE THUS CHRIST NO LONGER GIVE THIS GIFTS FOR THE BOC TODAY....2 Tim. 3:16-17

The entire scripture is the sole authority of man where his faith, destiny and assurance are already set and settled as having been obedient to apply the principle taught by God in 2 Timothy 2: 15 and it reads:

2 Timothy 2:15

King James Version (KJV)

15Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

Brethren the simplest way to have spiritual things set and done in your life is to simply obey the instruction how God taught you to study His precious words. Have passion to know more about the revelation of His will in all wisdom and understanding through the Sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

THE SPIRITUAL GIFTS IN FULL VIEW AT THE EARLY STAGE OF THE BOC

By:  Albert B. Gran

This is one of the most intriguing doctrinal issues emerged in different Christian pages at FB. Many so-called Pastors these days from among many denominations thought they are Christ’s gifts similar to that of those men as gifts in Eph. 4 :11 as stated:

11And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;

The word Pastor only appeared once in Paul’s epistles and such etymology as stated in the above verse was a fact categorically belonged to the GIFTS wherein such among those mentioned were some apostles; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers. Many crafty interpreters thought these people are gifted men while as it was appeared above there’s no sense or idea as such. The phrase “And he gave some” clearly emphasized the literal meaning that “Christ gave some”. Now the question lies in this underlying phrase is: What “SOME” did Christ gave to the church? The gifts mentioned stated above were apostles, prophets, evangelists, and some PASTORS AND TEACHERS. I would want you to focus clearly that these GIFTS were people. They are men. No implied sense entailing gifted men but these gifts were men Christ gave after He ascended up on high when the Body of Christ had already began its operation beginning from our very own apostle, the apostle Paul( 1 Timothy 1:16). We can’t twist the superb literal sense and obvious words as written in this verse itself. Why do these so-called Pastors nowadays cannot simply understand that the gifts never talked about characteristics, attributes, physical objects or whatever but simply convey the most trusted literal sense MEN (as apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers).

GIFTS NOT FOR THE KINGDOM CHURCH

As this verse clearly emphasized by which these gifts occurred after Christ ascended up on high or literally heavens to fill all things (Eph. 4:10), our so-called denominational religious leaders imply to mean that these apostles and prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers were the OT prophets and the NT disciples during the earthly ministry of Christ. These people already performed their respective functions and works before Christ ascended up on high. So if the verse proved its certain occurrence happened when Christ ascended to the heavens then we knew the fact that after the fall of nation Israel he raised up a brand new apostle, the apostle Paul to be the minister of the Gentiles (Rom. 15:16;Col.1:25-26).

We must be certain in the aspects of angles where all our proofs shall be taken in the account according to the revelation of the mystery truth revealed to Paul so these people may not remain undoubted to the veracity of our truthful and honest claim nullifying their claims on the belief that they themselves (so called men ordained Pastors in the religious denominational sectors) were Christ’s gifts as in Eph. 4. On top of that their thoughts against the bishopric office as they falsely assumed only patterned after the unbelieving ideas of Roman Catholicism can be proven as a mere alleged notion and only a religious cliché and a matter of denominational defence through traditional basis.

GIFTS IN THE EARLY PART OF THE BOC

Apostle Paul wrote in his epistle relative to the gifts mentioned in Ephesians 4.It means this verse isn’t independent where we can’t clearly understand God’s operation in setting these men as gifts for the church edification prior the completion of the holy Scripture. Let’s briefly consider this verse specifically to its clear content.

1 Corinthians 12:28

27 Now YE are the BODY OF CHRIST, and members in particular.
28 And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues.

This verse clearly proved upon comparison that Christ was God for in Ephesians 4 it was Christ who gave some men in the church the body of Christ. Clearly the verse stated above that “God set”. This is a parallel truth to mean Christ gave or God set these men in accordance to its rank and category which are: first apostles, secondarily prophets, and thirdly teachers including the complimentary gifts of healings helps, governments, and diversities of tongues. Where are the Pastors and evangelists in this verse which aren’t found in Ephesians 4? Let’s note again the verse for us to clearly see the truth about pastors and teachers as all one personal identity.

Ephesians 4:11
King James Version (KJV)
 11And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;
Take a look carefully the punctuations that separate each of these gifts. You can clearly see that  the semi-colon (;) after evangelists there appeared …..AND SOME, PASTORS AND TEACHERS. It could mean Pastors and teachers in one personal identity thus they’re teaching Pastors. Pastors could mean teachers and teachers could mean pastors in light with the truth in this verse. As clear proof for these in the early Acts where the current existing of the BOC operates during the time of Paul we can support these gifts stated in the following verses namely: prophets and teachers known as Pastors also as in Acts 13:1.

 Acts 13
1Now there were in the CHURCH that was at Antioch certain PROPHETS and TEACHERS; as Barnabas, and Simeon that was called Niger, and Lucius of Cyrene, and Manaen, which had been brought up with Herod the tetrarch, and Saul.

Another account in the early Acts concerning one of the gifts specified as the God the Holy Spirit made them overseers believed to be Pastors though not specifically mentioned in the verse but the fact was that it’s the Holy Spirit made them overseers to feed the church of God.

Acts 20: 28Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.

It clearly viewed as men being the Holy Spirit’s gift for the church the BOC during its early stage. Modern Pastors today may not qualify and claim they were the Holy Spirit’s choice for indeed the Holy Spirit’s ministry and its mode of manifestation in the early stage of the BOC was far more different to the Holy Spirit’s function today where the mind of the Spirit and its function was then upon the result of His complete word if we believe. Thus, filling the Spirit is to be nourished or be filled with the word of God richly in our lives. Today the tool of the Holy Spirit wherein we can be filled is the Word of God (Eph. 6:17-18).

Clearly in the early stage of the BOC the apostles were also part in the operation and function during the transition period for the BOC’s maturity leading to the completion of the full revelation where Paul was termed as ” …..when that which is perfect is come” 1 Cor. 13:10.
In the early stage of the BOC there were apostles contemporaries with him though names aren’t mentioned. Let’s consider one of the passage of Paul in 1 Corinthians 4:8-9 where it states:

8Now ye are full, now ye are rich, ye have reigned as kings without us: and I would to God ye did reign, that WE also might reign with you.

9For I think that GOD HATH SET FORTH US the APOSTLES LAST, as it were appointed to death: for we are made a spectacle unto the world, and to angels, and to men.

It’s very clear here that there were other apostles in the BOC contemporaries with Paul as the term “US” the “APOSTLES’ last. It’s plural form of pronoun (us) and plural noun (apostles) however, Paul was the sole apostle where the mystery of this dispensation of grace  was revealed.

Galatians 2:8
(For he that wrought effectually in Peter to the apostleship of the circumcision, the same was mighty in me toward the Gentiles:)

In this book of Galatians it’s very clear that Peter’s apostleship was intended for the circumcision and therefore he and the rest of the kingdom apostles may not considered be the gift of the church though they have participation during the early stage of the BOC in Acts 9,11,15, etc. for they were for circumsicion.

So as God has set in 1 Corinthians 12:28 there are only three major categories namely: first apostles, secondarily prophets, and thirdly teachers or Pastors interchangeably. Thus evangelist was an additional gift not mentioned in 1 Corinthians 12:28 that belong to the first three sets of category. However we can prove in the early Acts account after Paul’s conversion and beginning of the Body of Christ where there’s a man being called an evangelist and his name was Philip.

 Acts 21:8
And the next day we that were of Paul's company departed, and came unto Caesarea: and we entered into the house of Philip the evangelist, which was one of the seven; and abode with him.

My impression for these spiritual gifts for the church in my thorough studies and assessment in this issue was that the occurrences of these gifts involved the triune God’s participation in order to edify the church the BOC on its early stage prior the completion of the revelation of the mystery truth with the apostle Paul (Ephesians 4:12-14).

May you consider this things brother by simply not undermining the mystery truths revealed by Paul to us through the Holy Spirit where utterance for this dispensation of grace was unveiled  when Christ was declared to us as the Head of the Body.

Grace and Peace!

A FACT FINDER OR AN ABUSER?

A CAREFUL STUDY OF THIS ISSUE DESCRIBING WHO OUR BRAND NEW APOSTLE WAS IN RELATION TO TEMPLE-THING ISSUE  AS A CONTINUING PRACTICE IN OUR MODERN-DAY CHRISTENDOM

By: Albert B. Gran

1 Corinthians 9

1Am I am not an apostle? am I not free? have I not seen Jesus Christ our Lord? are not ye my work in the Lord?

2If I be not an apostle unto others, yet doubtless I am to you: for the seal of mine apostleship are ye in the Lord.

Let’s be steadfast in holding the pure presentation of grace doctrine in view of questioning the authority that we hold unto for the continuing propagation of the alternative grace teaching to combat the traditional doctrines called for obedience based upon the principles of law contrast to the principle of grace whereby every believer was called to stand firmly amidst the traditional walk being viewed as a matter of walking in the flesh as not anymore in the Spirit. Let everyone assert the truth for purity in doctrine as Paul our very own apostle instructed us to teach no other doctrine.

1 Timothy 1:3

As I besought thee to abide still at Ephesus, when I went into Macedonia, that thou mightest charge some that they TEACH NO OTHER DOCTRINE,

While this stress simply called for purity in grace doctrine through Pauline approach Satan’s wiles contravene the pureness of Paul’s doctrine by mixing up doctrines in the Bible assuming accurateness by simply Scriptural even if not dispensational. Rightly dividing falls in the application of the latter while to be Scriptural was the majorities’ basis of having a foundational standpoint.
The first two verses, particularly verses 1 and 2 introduced Paul’s counter statements on the alleged question arose from the outsiders or even one from among the church at Corinth regarding the veracity of his apostleship, freedom, divine commission and fruit of his service.

Those who put lighter significance to the heavenly commission of Paul especially when not recognized the special revelation given by God for us through him today has actions showing corruption by mixing doctrines, putting emphasis to other doctrines contrary to us aside from the essence of God’s saving grace in walk and practice which he already nailed at the cross of calvary (Col. 2:14).

In this chapter Paul explains clearly his ministerial purpose and objective to preach the gospel as free of charge without charging anyone (1 Cor. 9:18) for he himself receive the dispensation of the gospel (1 Cor. 9:17) pertinent to our walk and practice apart from dispute and argument.

It certifies our avid trust to the sole giver of this message involving whole body of truth in the dispensation of the gospel exclusively given to Paul under this dispensation of grace with purity presentation apart from mixing other doctrines in time past economy may it spoken by the mouth of his holy prophets in the Old Testament and 12 apostles.

3. Mine answer to them that do examine me is this,

It’s important to consider that many believers, Bible teachers and scholars even question Paul’s apostleship signifying the issues presented in his introduction. Let’s consider how Paul confronted these issues.
Power of eating and drinking issue:

4. Have we not power to eat and to drink?

The traditionalist believer also must consider this eating and drinking authority if they themselves took so much authority in their denomination and Jewish religious observance concerning the monetry support, temple or altar, and tithes issues way back in the Old Testament times.
Power of leading an earthly kingdom law abider people in this recent Body of Christ Program issue:

5.Have we not power to lead about a sister, a wife, as well as other apostles, and as the brethren of the Lord,
and Cephas?

This is a considerable issue based from this statement of the apostle Paul explaining his power to lead even the kingdom saints or apostle in this recent program whereby God called him as truth bearer for this dispensation of grace. This is his considerable statement suffice to determine our pure standpoint to rely in this current message of grace given to the apostle Paul. In this connection, if a grace believer have had this perfect or mature understanding of grace doctrine which is the power to lead a sister, a wife, even other ministers (or even today’s modern Pastors) who are hoping in the earthly kingdom same as such those characters mentioned atop as among kingdom apostles and saints. Paul have the power to lead them in this mystery truth or information unrevealed in time past.

Ministers Power to prevent from labor and eat the sources in the temple as also in accord to the law issue:

6. Or I only and Barnabas, have not we power to forbear working?
7. Who goeth a warfare any time at his own charges? who planteth a vineyard, and eateth not of the fruit thereof? or who feedeth a flock, and eateth not of the milk of the flock?

8. Say I these things as a man? or saith not the law the same also?

9. For it is written in the law of Moses, thou shalt not muzzle the mouth of the ox that treadeth out the corn. Doth God take care for oxen?

10. Or saith he it altogether for our sakes? For our sakes, no doubt, this is written: that he that ploweth should plow in hope; and that he that thresheth in hope should be partaker of his hope.

11. If we have sown unto you spiritual things, is it a great thing if we shall reap your carnal things?

I would like to clearly put emphasis this idea whereby the traditionalist religious ministers through governing principle abreast much this power about temple-thing or altar issue. This is their noted obvious stronghold of upholding issues about temple principle considering that it was taught and applied by Paul during his time. This overused authority refrain our modern-day Christian ministers to the extreme by not allowing them to work and labour with their own hands except flow to the mainstream and exclusivity of a Pastoral work for living and  survival. In such case it's a means to walk by sight and not by faith. Let’s see if their profound religious doctrine not holds water based from Paul’s judgment concerning this temple issue. For everybody’s information temple issue has conclusive idea whereby the modern-day religious ministers obliged anyone to support them as a church norm or standard in accordance to Biblical principle. This lawful scheme exhibit  falsity to objectively refrain them from being in touched by the world's affairs of livelihood activities (as secular employment or paid up job skills) for doing so was an attempt to worldliness and a hindrance to serve the Lord. This is the fact of the entire perspective that the traditionalists viewed much in the context of their ministering or pastoring principle.

Paul was right when he said he has the power to forbear working and will do that which was in accordance to that power to reap the carnal things or things of the temple for such was also applied under the law. Prior to this verse 7, Paul clearly emphasized different examples of the field of works relative to infantry, farming, livestock, etc. where any traditional minister can be refrained if he has to do the Lord’s work.

They insisted to tell us today that even Paul himself stressed much this issue and that truly it was in conformity with God’s will. Paul has this phrase, “HAVE WE NOT POWER so on and so forth…..”, that's what they exclaimed.

The gainsayers indeed are rejoicing for this power. They’re hungry for this power to be exercised in their churches and undermining man’s role most especially to the heads of the family including including religious leaders themselves to provide the needs of their own house and eat their own bread so they will not be chargeable of eating other man’s bread.

Clearly these gainsayers stressed a lot in  verse 9 as a continuing premise of the exercised power in accordance to the law. No one questioning this very sense for that was a verifiable statement regarding the power to forbear working and only rely from the sustenance or income in the temple.

This issue has been an existing issue whereby some legalists questioned first the authority of Paul’s apostleship including the issue of his followers and his authority whether or not he has the power to govern the things in the temple or reap the carnal things as they sow the spiritual things. Thus he affirmed by this question in the introductory part of verse 12 as it states:

(12.a) If others be partakers of this power over you, are not we rather?

This is but the more excessive stress where traditionalists fight for their utmost privilege in response to Paul’s answer who question his authority governing temple things issue. However, there was a big “BUT” with their claims for they never consider this ministerial governing principle involved in matters of leadership, local church management, and most importantly Paul’s mode of settlement to answer those alleged accusation when they questioned Paul’s authority or power regarding the temple thing issue. This separate statement as the other half of the verse clearly shows Paul’s verdict and that with all pureness of mind shall be our judgment also when we serve the Lord doing for his service without being a burden and burdensome to our fellow saints in the Body of Christ. Consider this personal declaration of Paul as an approach of grace and not after the law.

PAUL’S RESPONSE TO THE SUPPOSED TEMPLE THING POWER AS NOT HIS POWER AT ALL.

(12.b) NEVERTHELESS WE HAVE NOT USED THIS POWER; BUT SUFFER ALL THINGS, LEST WE SHOULD HINDER THE GOSPEL OF CHRIST.

This is the most neglected statement of Paul which they must consider and apply in their ministries. The point is this: THOUGH PAUL HAVE POWER BUT IT APPEARS THAT HE HAS NO POWER AT ALL FOR THE GOSPEL’S SAKE. What wonderful manifestation of an exemplary servant of God who has a spirit-filled ministerial disposition void of negative thoughts and false impressions.

Contrarily, the continued licentiousness governing temple-thing issue was the major focus of the traditionalists and or gainsayers ,and the best example for that is the crave to apply the tenth giving as a fixed amount of giving aside from the available goods in the temple. This is an example of a Levithical tithe as it has been also taught under the law.

I wished you gleaned insights from hinges of true servant responsibility ascribed to those who were worthy of God's grace by applying the principle of grace.

Grace and Peace to you!

WOULD YOU AGREE THAT MOST DENOMINATIONAL RELIGIOUS LEADERS ARE ANTI CHURCH MEMBERS IN GIVING MATTERS?

Many religious spiritual leaders in our days were tempted to unsoundly present a traditional teaching in giving, viewing all rendering services to the Lord as a matter of covetousness instead of a pure service by not charging the gospel in exchange of  an amount value.

1 Corinthians 9:14-15

King James Version (KJV)

14Even so hath the Lord ordained that they which preach

the gospel should live of the gospel.

15But I have used none of these things: neither have I

written these things, that it should be so done unto me: for

it were better for me to die, than that any man should make

my glorying void.

The mark of a true servant of Christ in this dispensation of

grace is someone who uphold the principle and doctrine in

the true grace life governed by the spiritual blessedness

where all facets of Christian walk was patterned after the

apostle in this dispensation of grace, the beloved Apostle

Paul.

Romans 11:13

For I speak to you Gentilesinasmuch as I am theapostle of the GentilesI magnify mine office:

The religious traditionalists in their governing power instead

of following the most sensible example set by Paul for them

in this age of grace in the Pastoral perspectives and

objectives, they walked contrarily to the manner where

one's privilege of service shall be measured through faith in

obedience to what is needful.

Pastors in their service for the Lord was laid by a wrong

concept believing that God's ministry is an avenue where

they personally can get their means for survival instead of

promoting an avenue to readily care the saints.

Without question Paul in verse 15 stated that ' I HAVE USED

NONE OF THESE THINGS'. That's a very remarkable

statement worthy of commendation and as something a

perfect way to emulate by those who truly serve the Lord

and became His ambassadors.

The opposite was the action called for many Pastors in this

age of grace. They overused the power to govern the

believers resources for their own intention and welfare. It

does not mean we'll not give others any privilege to

contribute for the furtherance of the Lord's ministry and His

gospel as anyone was commanded by Paul to be ready to

distribute and communicate. However,it's then very obvious

that such privilege in giving by the faithful believers were

strong emphasis by modern Pastors to govern much the

member's freedom and liberality in giving. This is an

opposite characteristic that our apostle Paul used in his

motivation as he freely commits the service for the Lord.

As Pauline in approach and doctrine, our judgement

primarily condemned this act of serious misconduct

committed by the religious Pastors in our times. Let

everyone be convinced the soundness of this presentation in

accordance to the perfect mind of Christ not to govern every

believer's privilege of service.

Grace and Peace to all!

TO BE CALLED AN INFIDEL?

By: Albert B. Gran

This is a considerable study and an alternative where greater heights of interest, making Biblical perspective more interesting than ever before especially in the issue of giving tithes and offerings as a form of mandatory obligation required by many laymen in our times. Having  been embraced in this traditional doctrine, they thought it's a noteworthy giving in this dispensation of grace correlating the inter-dispensation principle under the economy of law especially that which was stated in the book of Malachi 3:10

"Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it."

1 Corinthians 16:1-8
King James Version (KJV)

1 Corinthians 16
1Now concerning the collection for the saints, as I have given order to the churches of Galatia, even so do ye.
2Upon the first day of the week let every one of you lay by him in store, as God hath prospered him, that there be no gatherings when I come.
3And when I come, whomsoever ye shall approve by your letters, them will I send to bring your liberality unto Jerusalem.
4And if it be meet that I go also, they shall go with me.
5Now I will come unto you, when I shall pass through Macedonia: for I do pass through Macedonia.
6And it may be that I will abide, yea, and winter with you, that ye may bring me on my journey whithersoever I go.
7For I will not see you now by the way; but I trust to tarry a while with you, if the Lord permit.
8But I will tarry at Ephesus until Pentecost.

CONSIDERING POINT:

The main stream of this issue was whether or not Pastors were too abusive in their governing authority towards liberal givers. This is one of the most misapplied verse used to show comparison that Paul himself do the collection from the saints' liberality and a means to prove their love for the Lord.

The context of this set of passages were very clear to show the Pastors ignorance that giving is not really an abusive scheme for not meeting man’s responsibility for His own needs and the needs of his own house. The motive of Paul’s collection in this passage was not for the purpose to provide the needs of his own (Pastor) and escape the reality of his responsibility to feed his own family. However the real objective in this passage was to show response concerning the dire situation where it calls for material help such that they’re (Jerusalem Church) stricken by scarcity and deep poverty.

This has nothing to do with the issue whether a must responsibility for the members to let their Pastors escape from their respective task to rule his own house and such was an example of providing his own needs.

Giving from among liberal givers is a good thing only then the objective lies it under must not an excuse from among lazy Pastors to escape from their responsibility to provide the needs of their own house and family.

We didn’t deny giving in our respective ministries but we deny an abuse giving by letting the unsound teaching of denying the instruction whereby Paul called anyone to provide the needs of his own house so that he will become AN ELDER, bishop or traditional Pastor COUNTED OF DOUBLE HONOR.

Doing the contrary giving with the objective to deny the Pastor’s role for him to be counted of double honor IS DENYING THE FAITH and much to the point of counting him as an infidel.

1 Timothy 5:8
But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.

Grace and Peace!
